Cindy Barnett has been a potter since 1973 where she apprenticed to a studio potter in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

 

Coming to Florida in 1975, Cindy threw pots and did art shows until 1997, when her professional life as a Speech-Language Pathologist and clinical faculty at the University of Florida became her major focus.

 

In August of 2017, the UF Reitz Union Arts and Crafts Center reopened after a complete renovation. Serendipitously, Cindy walked in the first day they reopened, and CB Pottery began after a 20 year hiatus and a complete, compact, home studio emerged.

 

Cindy has participated in the Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival, Thornebrook Arts Festival, Micanopy Festival, the Gainesville Downtown Arts Festival. She is a member of the Gainesville Artisans Guild Gallery, Gainesville Fine Arts Association.

 

She is grateful to be able to be immersed in this limitless art form, and be surrounded by a community of creativity and positive energy, and now the ability to invite the community to see the process happen in real time.
